Therapy for Relationships
Wit’s End Therapy is for relationships - with your partner, spouse, family, friends, coworkers, and yourself. Building healthy relationships begins with getting to know yourself, so let's get started.
All Relationships Are Welcome Here
These are common phrases that come up in sessions with my clients. From the get-go, I want you to know that Wit's End Therapy welcomes all relationships... family, friends, roommates, talking stage, dating, engaged, married, separated, divorced, parents, co-parents, interracial, monogamous, consensually non-monogamous, and LGBTQIA+.
I am a Licensed MFT, and while MFT may stand for Marriage and Family Therapist, we treat more than just married folx and families. You don't need a stroller or engagement ring to see an MFT; we just might take a longer look at your family tree. Unlike other mental health professionals, MFTs are specifically required to complete hours with children, families, and couples in order to be licensed. These hours, and lots of family theory, often lead MFTs to take a systemic, relational approach to treatment - even with just one client.

My approach to relationship therapy is primarily informed by Attachment Theory and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. This means that I can support you with practical and evidence-based tools for communication and conflict resolution (Gottman), but I will also help you contextualize the origin of your presenting concerns (Attachment).
By increasing insight into your patterns, practicing communication skills, and learning how to set and hold boundaries, you can gain a greater agency over your relationships. You can learn how to recognize and advocate for unmet needs in a way that actually gets them met.
